We started BlitzSector because we were tired of reading reviews written by people who clearly hadn't finished the game. Six years later, nothing has changed about that.
BlitzSector launched in 2020 out of a shared frustration: Australian gaming coverage was either copied from US outlets with no regard for ANZ servers, pricing, or release timing — or it was written under publisher pressure with scores that bore no relationship to the actual experience.
We set three rules on day one and haven't broken them since. Every review requires a minimum 20 hours of play. No publisher provides review hardware or travel. Scores are never negotiated, adjusted, or embargoed beyond the standard review period.
We cover ANZ esports because the scene deserves proper documentation — not a paragraph at the end of an international recap. Tournament coverage, bracket results, and prize pool tracking are treated as first-class editorial.
